The course in Technology & Digital Healthcare trains the future health technician, someone who works inside a hospital environment and can intervene in the management, maintenance, interconnection and interoperability of biomedical technologies.


The acquired skills will allow them to work with advanced and integrated informative and technological systems to enhance efficiency, care quality, patients’ safety and sustainability.

A Smart Hospital’s key technologies are IoT, AI and Machine Learning, Big Data and predictive analysis, robotics and automation, which interact with advanced biomedical devices.



How is the course in technology & digital healthcare structured?

The two-year Technology & Digital Healthcare course consists of 2,000 hours in which solid theoretical and experimental training, and practical application through a traineeship is provided. Every course provides adequate knowledge of instruments and in-depth mastery of experimental methods.

The courses allow a maximum of 25 students and require in-person attendance for 80% of the scheduled number of hours.


What are the requirements to access the technology & digital healthcare course?

To be eligible to take part in an ITS pathway, one must:

  • Hold a secondary education diploma or vocational diploma supplemented with one year of IFTS pathways, or other qualification obtained abroad and recognized as suitable.

What professions can be practiced with a degree in technology & digital healthcare?

At the end of this two-year ITS pathway in Technology & Digital Healthcare the possible professions are:

  • Hospital OSs Management and Maintenance
  • Health Data Management Specialist
  • Health Cybersecurity e IoT Specialist
  • Biomedical Devices Technician

What is issued at the end of the pathway?

Those who pass the final exam at the end of the second year will be awarded the Higher Technical Diploma, corresponding to the V level of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).


Can i get a bachelor’s degree in technology & digital healthcare with ITS academy?

The course in Technology & Digital Healthcare allows direct access to the third year of the Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering at the eCampusTelematic University.
